Professionally, Bishop works with the Bridgepoint Education and has throughout his career worked in higher education within major universities, focusing on business development and retention. As an entrepreneur, Bishop is partner of The Talented Tenth, co-owner of Grace Academy Child Development Center, LLC located in North Columbia and is CEO of Bishop Speaks, LLC. As Senior Pastor of Grace Christian Church located in the Eau Claire and North Columbia communities, Pastor Bishop is developing quality programs that nurture children and youth, and teaches the principles of giving time, talents and resources. Since his arrival in June 2007, more than 900 members have joined and more than 20 ministries have developed performing outreach services to the local, national, and global communities. Pastor Bishop and Grace Christian Church have been featured by TBN, SC ETV and The State Newspaper.
As a civic leader, Bishop is involved in the greater Columbia community at many levels including as an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and Prince Hall Masonic Order. Serving on numerous boards and committees within the community, Pastor Bishop is a Chaplin for the Richland County Sheriff Department, a part of the City of Columbia Faith Coalition, Savannah State University Columbia Alumni Chapter (President), the Greater Columbia Community Development Corporation and the USC Trio Program Advisory Board among many others. In 2010, Pastor Bishop was elected to the Richland County School District One School Board where he currently serves as Chairman. He published his first book, The Valley Experience, in 2018.
Pastor Bishop has been happily married to his wife Elder Jennifer D. Bishop of Atlanta, GA, since June of 2000 and they are the proud parents of one son, Peyton.
