Philanthropy: Engage, Contribute and Share

People are motivated to support causes for different reasons. Most common reasons people give are:

  • Believe your gift can make a difference
  • Personal satisfaction
  • To support the same cause/organization year after year
  • In order to give back to your community
  • To honor another
  • Because you have been asked

Community Mediation is community mobilization. Midlands Mediation Center reaches beyond the formal mediation role of the individuals as the third-party neutral. MMC reaches youth in schools through “Learning Circles”; Parents through “Parent Cafe’s”; Elderly Support through Family Circles and community resilience through community training initiatives. We you for supporting and being involved in the life and growth of the practice of mediation and making our community better.

Thanks to your contributions of resources, Midlands Mediation Center’s vision, programs and services are positively impacting our sense of peace and access to justice.

People are motivated to give at different times and have different preferences for how they want to give. Since “one size does not fit all”, here at the Midlands Mediation Center we promote and offer several different giving opportunities throughout the year. Hopefully we will “connect” with you with one or more of our fund-raising appeals.

In 2016 we launched our Multi-Year Giving Society for donors who pledge gifts of $300, $600 or $1,200/year for three or five years.  We appreciate those who recognize Midlands Mediation Center’s ongoing need to sponsor families’ mediations and assure that people with low incomes have a place to take care of important legal matters where mediation is required or most suitable.
Please consider making a pledge and join the Multi-Year Giving Society. Contact our office to secure your pledge.
