Kay Taylor Hightower, Esq. manages the Supportive Services and Outreach Unit at the Lieutenant Governor’s Office on Aging.  In that capacity she supervises the agency’s public outreach effort. She is also responsible for overseeing programs related to transportation and home care services.  Additionally, she manages the ElderCare Trust Fund. Since its inception over 10 years ago, the Fund has awarded grants to dozens of nonprofit organizations that help seniors live with dignity and vitality in their own homes. Kay also manages a program to encourage doctors to practice geriatric medicine in South Carolina, the Geriatric Loan Forgiveness Program.

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts and a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law. In addition to South Carolina, she is a member of the New York and Pennsylvania Bars.  Kay is married to Attorney Stephen Hightower and is the mother of one daughter, Bailey.
