Communication is critical to building peace in our community. Come and explore communication skills to increase peaceful resolution of disputes, conflicts and foster dialogues. These free sessions are designed to assist individuals with communicating effectively with family, co-workers or classmates.

The sessions are 90 minutes with a facilitator engaging participants in learning and practicing skills toward managing conflict, improving critical listening skills, and engaging in productive, non-confrontational and peaceful conversations.

Sessions in several locations will be resuming in early 2020. Please visit MMC’s Eventbrite Registration Directory to register for your choice of session(s).

In 2019 this project was supported by a Beyond the Table grant from Central Carolina Community Foundation and was inspired by the On the Table initiative. Sessions were held at Richland Library North Main and Cayce-West Columbia Library.
